Hi,

Heres the question.

Is it possible to use headphones on an amp without a Headphone out slot? Like is their some kind of pedal that can be used to direct the sound into the headphones?

Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

I just got a half stack with no output for headphones. I haven't gotten my big headphones yet, but what I did was ran the regular cab output to a small practice amp speaker. Its 4ohm 8 watt but can handle it fine(ofcourse blasting it wouldn't be safe). I don't know what ohm headphones are., if there the same ohm rating or higher it would work but I doubt they are, and obviously if turned up too high they'd break. Trying finding a broken practice amp and use the speaker. Even finding a car speaker/stereo speaker might work(although tone would probably suck).

And is it the peavey in your sig? It has a headphone spot..what kind of amp?

Thanks for the quick replys.

Its for a amp im currently saving up for. A Bugera 333XL combo.

It has a Line out, Loudspeaker slot, Footswitch slot, and FX loop slots.

Could any of these be used for Headphones?

The line out can be used for headphones, I believe.

It's intended use is for recording (Bypassing the Microphone), But I dont see why you couldnt use headphones with it.

You'll probably need a quarter-inch to stereo adapter, unless you have headphones with a quarter-inch jack.

You *should* be able to use the line out. Might need an adapter for it though (1/4'' to 1/8'' or something)

If you dont have a line out... your better off getting a pocket amp thats made for headphones or a small amp that has a headphone jack on it.

Still a dumb idea.
You will still have to have a speaker connected to the amp or else you will blow the transformer or fry the whole amp. and since the speaker is connected, the sound will come out of it.
You will need something like this:

with the added headphonee tap (25 $ extra making it 250 $ + shipping) to work I think.

Kramer Focus 3000
Ibanez ATK300
Rocktron Chameleon
Digitech IPS33B
Ibanez WH10
