hey all, i am looking at getting a new guitar but for metal, i got an awesome randall quad stack so i don't need a new amp. the guitar i got atm is a gibson sg, but i don't want to put EMGs into it becuase i still want to play more commercial stuff.

So does anyone know of a good metal guitar that can play a fair range, like it can play stuff from rammstien to bring me the horizon. my price range is around 1000-1200AUS (yes, i live in australia lol) and thanks to all who replys and i hope u can understand what i am on about. lol. and i don't care about the brand it can be whatever, but NO telelcasters with emgs in them lol i hate their body shape.

Jackson,LTD,Ibanez,Schecter,Agile.

All of these companies make decent mid-range metal guitars.

Upgrade pups for an Ibanez? I'd have to say a versatile set of DiMarzio pups would be a good bet.Something about Ibanez and DiMarzio just goes well together.

Don't know how much australian dollars are worth, but ESP LTDs are great quality as long as you don't go for the cheapest. Also you can buy Jackson Dinkys for fairly reasonable prices. Both of these have models with EMGs if that's what you're after.
