Hey everyone, first poster here.

I've been playing for years but somehow have always neglected buying a decent amp, and I think it's about that time. Overall, I'm still an amp newbie.

So I have a budget of about $700, could go a little either way. I've been trying to find a tube in the 30-50w range, something that I can play some gigs with, club sized settings.

As for my tone, I'm still fairly new to the concept of tone, heh. However, I do play 90's grunge/alt-rock, and some more classic rock and on occasion newer pop-punk.

I'm open to any suggestions any of you have. I'm in boston, so avaliability shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks to anyone in advance for helping out!

vox ac30

http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/msg/1032161190.html AC30, $800.
http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/msg/1036664314.html PV Delta Blues, $425.
http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/msg/1036368838.html PV Classic 50, $400.

All three would be decent for what you play. The VOX is superior to the others but $400 superior? You have to make that call.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Just out of curiosity, how would a Vox AD120vt stand up against an Vox Ac30? They are much more available at decent prices, which I assume is of no coincidence.

^the AD120VT is a compleatly different amp if you compare it to an AC30......
