No they think they are the greatest until someone better than them comes along and shows them up. But thats not to say guitar is a contest guitar is what it is to each player, its an individual thing.

You'd think they at least would hear that it sounds false as h*ll. I mean, I'm not very good at guitar, but at least I can hear when things are not in tune.

I know that I DID mess up a few times. However, I don't feel like making another video and I'm content with this one.

A FEW?

That was like rape to my ears plus im pretty sure that not only did he play badly he was out of tune as well.

Speaking of bad guitar players on YouTube... What's the name of this kid that "teaches" songs that are totally wrong and out of tune? I know I saw a link here on UG a while ago, but I can't find it. I remember him having videos on how to (not) play Enter Sandman, Crazy Train etc.

To use an analogy that most of the internet should be able to understand, guitar is with them like what I assume it's like for a virgin going into sex. They think their good from practicing alone(hobbyist guitar playing/locking the door, looking up porn and so forth). Then they get at it with others(Joining a band/actually going at it with someone else) and realize how badly they suck. They then go off to learn how to do things better(learning theory/reading Kama Sutra) and return for it again(new band/more sex, likely this time with a prostitute), this time much better.

Lamb of God is in DDR? Then I realized, oh wait, I still have the music on, so I turned it off. The kid still ****ing sucked.

Can someone explain to me what is this sub genre of fag metal? I have never heard it before.

Even though his guitar playing isn't all that impressive, I do have to give him credit for actually having the guts to film himself playing and then put it on YouTube for the world to judge.

That being said, I didn't like it at all.

Of course they don't realise, if they did they wouldn't stick the video on YouTube - its the same as with American Idol contestants who don't realise they cant sing.

Yes, many guitarists think they're awesome until they are informed otherwise. Kudos to the kid for putting it up though, I have some of my early, horrible atttempts at singing up which are still gaining 1/2 star ratings to this day. At first it hurt, but now I just find it funny and I like how I've developed since then.

I wonder how many vids like this would be up if everyone on UG were to submit a video upon registration? Leave the kid alone until you upload your own vids.
And no, Guitar Hero will not help. Even on expert. Really.

Eh, I've heard worse *CoughMyOldBandsDrummerCoughcough*.

Try listening to someone attempt drumming to a Rush song without a huge-ass kit like Neil Peart has; it's like listening to Vai on a 19-fret SS Danelectro(Their good guitars, just not for that).

Honestly, his two biggest problems were his guitar being out of tune, and he had a lousy tone. But the tone was just cuz of it being a ****ty practice amp. He nailed a few pinch harmonics at some points. It was painful to listen to, but I wouldnt say he seriously sucks.
#39
Yeah it seemed to me like his guitar was more out of tune and his amp blew then he actually sucked. He's still probably not great but his lack of sense for tone is what seems to be killing him.
