I have the output to a 8w guitar speaker(for practice), its 4 ohms(head is 4ohm min) but will it damage my amp head? If so, why?

Clean volume is fine, distortion seems like it'll go higher the the speaker would take but its working fine playing normal volume for the speaker.

What's the ohm rating on the guitar speaker? if the head and speaker match it'll be fine, but I wouldn't recommend it soley because of the ****ty sound quality you might get from it.

if the ohms match, the only thing that could go wrong is the speaker blowing, really.
I'm putting my GAS on hold
for a couple months in order to pimp my ride.

Don't judge me.

ok cool, they match. Surprisingly I'm getting a good tone for the speaker. I even mic'd it to my pc for a metal riff I made, and it sounds better then when I used the line out on my spider 2!
