I bought a HBE Psilocybe today. Other phase pedals that I own are, a Russian Small Stone, MXR Phase 45, and an EHX Worm. I think that is all of them. I was in search of a more "tweakable" phaser. I was interested in a Phase 100, but I was too lazy to order one. Then I came across this one. For now, my "tweakable" phaser search is over.

HBE Manual
-Regen, determines the rate of modulation.
-Speed, adjusts the amount of wetness to the output signal.
-Shift 1, (EQ/Filter) toggles a full sound to a tighter, less low end tone.
-Shift 2, (waveform) toggles between a classic phaser to a vibrato-like tone.

I've been using this pedal with my LP and Champion 600. Next, I'm gonna try it with my AC15 and Mustang.

So far, my favorite feature is the Speed knob. I thing being able to adjust the blend will be very helpful. If you couldn't tell already, I'm a Stones nut. The Psilocybe can cover Keef's Some Girls phase tones very well

Later, I'll make up a short and simple clip, so you can get an idea of how this pedal sounds.

Hey, Happy NPD!

I just bought a phase too, the Boss one. I found a hidden uni-vibe sound

Why is it that most phases are green?

How do you say "I'm okay" to an answering machine?

Very soon. I'm starting to get the hang of my MBox and Pro Tools.

# of pedals? I know it is over 50. I think around 55. I wish it were amps though. 50 amps would be really cool.

nice!

Oh and I was going to ask you since you have an AC15 and a bunch of pedals. What would be a good affordable tight sounding overdrive to use with a AC15?

****ing 50 of anything would be cool, especially high quality stuff.

I only have 7 pedals, 3 of them fuzzes and one of them a tuner .

As long as you can get them to sing. It doesn't matter how many you have.

An OD for an AC15?

Honestly, I'm liking the Dano TO($40). So much so, that I ordered a Timmy.

A Luther($107) from Gearmanndude sounds nice. It is a TS circuit with Langraff mods, from what I gather.

A Fulltone Fat Boost 2($132), you can use it a boost. Crank the Drive and you have a some OD going on. Run it at 18v and you hit the AC15 right in the ass.

Congrats... I want a HBE Psilocybe myself. I shall have a HPD thread tomorrow when I receive my HBE Mos Dos and Catalinbread V8 Fuzz Tone Engine.

I own one. It's amazing. No doubt.

Great point

TBH, though, one can never have too many fuzz pedals IMO.

Made a small clip up. I did something very simple, so one gets the voice of the pedal.

Signal Chain: LP w/ AlNiCo II's(only used the bridge pup) --> Psilocybe --> Champion 600

Settings in o'clock (Regen, Speed, Shift 1, Shift 2)

Start - 0:35 (11, 2, R, R)

0:40 - 1:12 (11, 2, L, R)

1:14 - 1:50 (11, 2, R, L)

1:57 - 2:29 (11, 2, L, L)

2:30 - 3:14 (5, 2, R, R)

3:15 - 3:56 (12, 12, R, L)

3:58 - 4:30 (9, 9, L, L)

Congrats on the HBE! Glad you like it. It sounds like it's doing just what you wanted, congrats!
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

sweet, hbe pedals are nice.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
