For physics, I have to make a scatter graph showing the range of a projectile to the angle it is fired at. I want the angles to appear on the x axis and the range to appear on the y axis. I write the angles in a column on the spreadsheet and the range in the same row as the angle it is shot at. I used to do this on Excel 2004 and could get the graph looking the way I wanted. Now when I make the graph, it has the correct ranges on the y axis, but the x axis is just a number for each angle (the first angle is 1, the second angle is just 2 etc). How can I get it to show the angle instead of random numbers?

Without selecting ANY data, do the following:
Insert-Chart-Scatter (with smooth lines and/or point)
A blank chart should appear.
Right click on the white space and from the menu -> Select Data
Legend Entries (Series) -> Add
Select the column with your angles for x-axis, the range for y-axis and give a Series name.
Then click OK -> OK and your chart should be fine
I must stop wasting time in The Pit and practice!
