i have recently learned the shape of moveable bar chord and if find it stupid to open position chords with millions of shapes and sizes( ) when you can use a simple shape and go around the neck. Thats my opinion what are yours

I think open chords are usable in the right situation and in general have better tone because of the open strings.
Schecter C1 Classic
Fender Vintage -57 Ri Stratocaster
Fender Blues JR w/ 12"Cannabis Rex
Mad Professor Sky Blue OD
Wampler Ego Compressor
TC Electronics Stereo Chorus/Flanger

Different chord voicings of chords cause the chord to sound different - it may not be that noticeable, but it certainly becomes so when you start using chords like Amaj#11 or whatever.

I remember thinking that when I first learned some barre chords.

"Well, I guess I've got it whooped from here on out!"

Open position chords obviously have a different sound, and those "millions" of shapes and sizes are nice to know because different voicings can sometimes totally change the feel of a chord. You'll change your mind about all this eventually.
