Ok, hopefully this is an acceptable thread and yes, I read the 5150/6505 mother thread.
I need your help on a good 2x12 amp for me.

My price range is about $600 US.
Please don't suggest amps much more than that.

I play alternative rock/classic rock/ heavy rock, whatever.
I want a nice bright tone, not too bright though.

I guess the classic evh, slash tones...

Anyway I play an American Standard Strat, Seymour Duncan humbucker in the bridge, and a Fender Lace Sensor (red) in the neck.

I also play a Gibson Les Paul Studio.

So please recommend me a good tube 2x12.
I've found a 2x12 EVH 5150 at my local Sam Ash for $600.
Please give me your opinions on the evh 5150 2x12, what's good/bad, opinions.

Feel free to recommend me another amp, but I'd really like to know about the 5150, I'm leaning towards buying it.

Thanks UG

Have a look at secondhand JCM800 2x12 combo's like mine.
Most are pretty used for aesthetically they aren't brilliant but still damn good.

Epiphone Les Paul Standard w/ SD Alnico Pro II's
Fender Aerodyne Telecaster & Stratocaster
Marshall JCM 800 4104 combo

used jcm800s, traynors, etc. etc.

the 5150 is neither a bright amp, nor an amp that is too well suited for classic rock.

^ the 5150 is not the amp that you are looking for............
if you play metal and only metal then the 5150 maybe good for you.......
