Basically, apart from the mediocre trem, it's a great guitar.

Have you tried it out yet?

If your willing to change the trem for an OFR later, its a great guitar. I tried one out, felt nice, willing to buy it when I have more money (will be replacing trem... I want a white 2 humbucker guitar with no pickgaurd and a floyd rose. SS shape.). While the general consensus of everyone is that the Edge 3 is bad, it will last you a few months, enough to raise money for a floyd (I think I saw one for $150 online, gotoh, or something. I dont know if it will specifically drop in well, but an OFR is a direct swap with little work.)

Any for that price, you can get it with a floyd for about the same price as new.

sounds like a very good deal, the licensed floyd doesnt mean less quality, it just means that they contacted schaller with their designs and had them see them so they dont get sued for copyright infringement. its just a stock ibanez version. and ive also heard the wizard necks are very fast, so theres a plus

Give it a thorough try, make sure all the notes ring out properly (check for 'dead spots') and look if there are any chips or other minor flaws.

Most importantly, though, have fun.

The guitar should be fine and it's almost new, so just enjoy it.

Well, as with any trem, the Edge III will wear out from frequent use, so the less whammy abuse, the longer it will last.

In the event that it does wear out to a point where it's no longer stable, you can simply block it (piece of wood or something similar) or you can install a Tremol-no.

The Tremel-no might be a good idea anyway and if you replace the trem later on you can just keep it installed. Check out their site for details.

As for retrofitting an OFR without modifications, there are a few slightly conflicting reports; some people say it's a direct swap and others have had to make a few very minor adjustments.

I heard a few months, when it does, block it off and save for an OFR. And by what I said earlier, I meant that for the price of that guitar ($350), plus an OFR ($170) and even new pickups ($200), you come to the price of the guitar new ($700).

Raise the action a bit? Is it TOO much fret buzz?

thats the thing now can i raise the action on just that saddle. ?

because you know when you use the fine tuners. it dos a seesaw effect with the saddle

but the saddle is lower than the other ones evenly could it be something with the locking nut.?
