so im upgrading from my 15 Watt peavey vypyr to a new amp.... i have no clue. I play rock and blues and some light metal if thats possible, i can use pedals and my max price is 450 to 500 american. i do not gig

agreed, but 30 watts tube miight be overkill since he doesn't gig
another option is the traynor ycv20.. i own one and i'd say it manages the genres you listed well.

^ for the Blackheart Rock and Blues yes...... for light metal....... Do the BitMo mod and you will be fine and then add an OD and an EQ to really shape your tone.....

that was the first post, kid. the blackheart will do metal with an OD, but it's got a bit more vintage voicing. a traynor ycv 20 or ht-5 is the way to go.
