Neither 5/4 nor 4/4, but a tricky one nonetheless....

(hint: try listening to the drums and ignoring the rest)

Paying attention only to drums is oversimplifying it. The drummer does generally keep a x/x (so as not to spoil the game) beat with one hand, but the rhythmic structure is often complex enough that it can't be accurately expressed as a time signature.
Someones knowledge of guitar companies spelling determines what amps you can own. Really smart people can own things like Framus because they sound like they might be spelled with a "y" but they aren't.

i've always found pop to be harder to play than metal... especially shred metal... it's just really fast tremolo picking and the occasional palm mute... and the only chords you have to worry about are power chords...

It's the other way around. His hands are simpler and his feet do the crazy time sigs, but only because he's probably playing as fast as he can. I doubt he sat down an thought "Okay i'll keep a 7/8 beat with my hands but 37/16 with my feet on the double bass drums"
