Hello everybody, pretty soon I'm upgrading my rig and the new amp will be a vox ac15. I kno it sounds great cranked but for the times when im unable to crank it I need an overdrive/distortion. I play blues to classic rock to hard rock...think beatles to hendrix to ACDC and stuff inbetween

Ive narrowed it down (I think)...to the fulltone OCD and ibanez ts9...which would suit me better??? and if u have any other suggestions

THANKS!

Man, this question is coming up every five minutes. The answer is this:

Use your Master Volume control. Turn that down, turn your Top Boost Volume up and you will have some great overdrive at low volumes.

For a perfect little extra, add a Boss GE-7 EQ pedal as a boost and your overdrive will take you to Marshall-like tones...and this can be achieved at low volumes!

OCD is far and away better...unless you get a Keeley TS9, then it's a littlecloser.
I'm putting my GAS on hold
for a couple months in order to pimp my ride.

Don't judge me.

Try it and decide for your own ears.

Anyway, personally I find the OCD to be a bit more treble-oriented than the TS9, and I prefer the TS9's tone, so I go with the TS9. Many people feel differently though, so best thing to do is go try them both out and decide yourself.
