I'm looking into buying some bongos, and I want to know some stuff.

Is there a best kind of wood have them made from?
What are some good brands I should look at?
Where should I look for relatively cheap, but good sounding bongos?

I saw a bunch at my local music go round lately, priced $60 and they didn't sound bad, I think I'm going with those if I don't get any better selection.

just buy any kind if you are a beginner. generally LP makes good stuff

I wouldn't really say I'm a beginner. I know this is Ultimate-Guitar, and it's for guitar stuff, but I don't really play guitar. I understand the guitar stuff and I'm learning, but I'm actually drummer, so I know how to play my percussion.

Pfft, obviously. What else are bongs used for other than CoB covers?

Maybe I could add some bongo tracks to some Opeth songs, eh?

Epic. Do it.

I shall, and as soon as Opeth hears it, they will want me in their band.

They'll hire you just to do the outro to The Grand Conjuration.

Which is obviously the most important song know to mankind, right next to April Ethereal.

You should make sure they come with a gorilla so he can play them like Donkey Kong.
