You could get better for metal for that price. Look at Mesa Mark IV's.

wrong.

Ampeg VH140s are godly for metal.
I'm putting my GAS on hold
for a couple months in order to pimp my ride.

Don't judge me.

^^Define better. Price is not directly proportional to 'quality' And where did he say metal?

Way overpriced. You can get a head for 300 max, and a V412 cab for 200.

Looks like a good deal to me. They are rare and I've never even seen a matching half-stack. You could probably even resell it at a higher price later on if you don't like it.

Wrong.

That is overpriced by almost 500 dollars.

Thisis for Death Metal and I know Dying Fetus still uses these and I have heard them and they do sound great for Death Metal. Just trying to justify the cost.

The last time I saw one of these heads they were selling close to the $450 range on ebay and craigslist.

PM Matrixclaw. He is selling a VH-140c.

I've never seen one go over 350.

If you want something that can also do what the VH-140c can, look into the Crate GX-130c. Almost identical preamp, with slightly different power amp. You can get one for about 200, or less. Pig Destroyer uses/used the, IIRC.

Not godly.
I mean, they're exceptional for the price, but there's much better out there.
IMO of course.

It is a Full stack that comes with 8 Celestion G12k-85's

Right. So $350 for the head and @ $400 per cab? Maybe new it was worth it. Not used.
This is the second time this clist add has made it to the forums. And it's still not a stellar deal.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.
