But that's not what this thread is about.

I'm curious to know if there are any other big theatre geeks in the Pit. Anybody into acting, directing, writing, backstage work? What's the Pit's favourite plays? All that kind of stuff. Anyone?

EDIT: No, actually I like going to the theater. I like Shakespeare the most tbh and new acts (newly written I mean) are usually real good, too.

...and midgets ended up f*cking her. I got the pie.

Well, about half of my family's annual income comes from doing plays (The other half comes from doing local TV). Both my parents and my older sister are pretty well-known in the theater scene here in the Philippines, and do plays nonstop. I guess that makes me a theater geek by default.

One of the other bass forum regs is an "actor" He's currently rehearsing for Copacabana and he's also played Jean Valjean in Les Miserables.

Damn, I wish I could do musicals but my singing voice sounds like a horse shitting out a landmine. I've done a lot of regular plays, though.

I'm really into theatre and drama. I go regularly to see stuff at The National in London, as often as I can.

I'm playing Conrade in a production of Much Ado About Nothing. Only a small-er role unfortunately, since it would have too much of an effect on my A-levels otherwise .

I'm into short films, sort of indie style stuff. I write, act and sometimes direct little short films. I just love to create, art, music, drama, film. They're all beautiful to me

I want to play Dogberry, that would be a giggle. Malapromisms for the win....

Used to do a lot of musical theatre and that as a kid. Playing Riff in West Side Story was the best like. I go to a youth theatre now where it's mainly contemporary devised stuff mixed in with lots of movement and comedy improv. All good!

I played a wizard in a school nativity play once... I'm still not sure why there was a wizard there, but the bribe of a big box of Monster in my Pocket things was too tempting to turn down

I played one of the Three Wise Men in primary school. They basically threw a towel on my head, wrapped me in some floral print curtains and gave me a box saying 'frankincense' to hold. Also, the doll that played baby Jesus was black.

I don't think my school do a nativity play anymore

I insanely regret not getting more into it in high school. I took a few drama
classes and loved it but never auditioned cause i never thought i could follow through.
I still go to every play they put on though. This semester its little shop of horrors.
Pretty excited. Nothing beats live theater.
One of the local colleges put on an amazing crucible.
