Has anyone bought/played one? How good are they?

i found this which is almost exactly what i'd want for a guitar:

i wouldnt be able to afford one for 2-3 years anyway, but heck i can at least think about it now.

Erm, didn't crash mine, so don't call someone an ass when it's your own fault.

As far as I know they are very good quality

I wouldnt get one though, all they seem to do is rip off other designs, like exact headstock and body replicas, if they can build guitars so well they should design their own...

True that, seems alot of people want alexi sigs made by 'em. I'm trying to decide whether i get a Jackson RR24 next, or get myself a custom made by these guys - where i can choose hardware/colour etc.

Well, their rip-offs are requested. If someone says that they want a B.C. Rich headstock, Ran makes it. Ran doesn't do it of their own accord.

they have a great rep and their prices are pretty good. i got a quote for an over the top gibson explorer style custom w/ an insanely techinical paint job and the quote was a respectable $2200-$2400 IDK the exact price but thats about right.

That doesnt make it right though does it?

Must custom builders would not replicate a headstock exactly either by law or by principle.

Thats damn good

By the looks of things as long as they have Ran on the headstock they're happy to copy any design

I have no idea but I put in for a quote for a Gibson Explorer body style, PRS headstock and Americana inlays, and a black cherry dye on a maple quilt top. Mahogany body, Schaller FR..... Oh ****

So what you're saying is that no company should be allowed to make Stratocaster shapes except for Fender, right?
