so my guitar teacher let me borrow his carl martin compressor limiter and i love the gain on it when you crank it past 12 o'clock it gets this distrotion thats simaler to an oldschool mesa boogie. i'ld get my own but it costs 250$

do you know any distortion pedals with a simaler tone for less like around say 150$ or lower

i usually run distortion sthrough the clean channel for because it gets a thicker tone

i also use a russian big muff pi with teh compressors gain a lot

^ the 33xl is a clone of the PEavey JSX (satriani's sig amp) which has a very good Ditortion Channel......
but if you really want a mesa sounding distortion buy a Tech 21 SansAmp GT-2 its a modeler that has a model of a Rectifier (California high gain)

and even satch runs pedals into his clean channel
the regular distortion channel just isn't and fat

i think i might also try out his signature pedal has any one tried it is it good
