I am planning on buying a new guitar and putting Mo' Joe and PAF Joe humbuckers on it. These are relatively bright and high-end as far as tone. I was thinking about getting a guitar with a basswood body, which is also bright-sounding. If I got a mahogany body guitar, which is more warm, fat, and low-end, would that give me a more dynamic tone range, or would the wood and pickups sort of cancel each other out (if that makes sense)? Which wood would be better?

I am, but I have a few guitars in mind that have all the features I want. The only difference is their woods. I need to know which will go best with my humbucker selection.
