My friend tried to put heavy gauge strings on his Vintage VS6 (An SG replica - set neck) and the neck is now curved towards the player, is there anyway to fix this?

u need to adjust the truss rod but if you dont know what youre doing you can mess the guitar up so be careful. take it to a service shop if u have one handy

I guess it's scrap wood then

Might be, if the rod isn't broken it might be fixable.

If you take it into a shop they might be able to fix it somehow, unless he broke the rod or something.

and never let your friend touch your guitar again
