A great deal of their basslines are by no means simple.

Can't Stop by RHCP, although that's because I used to practice it to warm up and I played it far too fast, so now I find myself unable to play it slowly without fudging it up

Dunno if it's easy, but I'm so sloppy on Laid To Rest and I can't even play Redneck, both by Lamb Of God.

Seek and Destroy- Metallica
The main riff and chorus is really easy but the bridge and solo give me alot of trouble.

If I'm trying to do a note for note copy: Mr. Jones by the counting crows. Seems like it should be the easiest song on earth, super simple, but the timing on the bass fills are absolutely bizarre and often hop in and out of syncopation, and all of the notes are so low-pitched that it's difficult to distinguish them by ear on the quicker fills.

Gravity by John Mayer
Bad Love by Eric Clapton
Velorium Camper I: Faint of Hearts by Coheed and Cambria
Stellar by Incubus, although this is actually kinda challenging at times
I used to struggle with Everything Went Numb by Streetlight Manifesto
Burning of the Midnight Lamp by The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

I have trouble playing other people's things. I am a good bassist when I play things my friends and I have written, but other people's music is just not easy for me. I would not survive in a cover band.
Gear:1991 Fender MIJ Jazz/Squier VM Fretless Jazz -> Pitchblack -> Way Huge Green Rhino -> Boss OC-2 -> Boss DD-7 -> Markbass Tube 800 -> SWR 4x12.

Flat wounds. Flat wounds on everything. Everything is a little fatter when it's flatter.

Ditto man. I have certain riffs (of other people's) that I can do okay, and there are certain songs I play when I wanna have fun and goof off, but I think I'd be the worst cover-bassist ever.

I don't think Laid To Rest should be considered an easy bass line at all.
