When i get some money, im going to be getting a new amp and modding my Squier standard special P-Bass.

Im definately going to put in some duncan quarter pounders, should i put in a khaler or a hipshot tremolo bridge, or keep it the way it is?

Before i go and buy a tremolo, i would like to have a few answers
Will the bridge change the tone?
Will i go out of tune easily?
Khaler or Hipshot?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, i realised it might be after i posted it.

EDIT: Where can i get one in the UK?

we tend to answer questions like this here because in the gear customizing forum you mostly get guitar players.

It may make your tone a bit punchier but i'm not sure. it will almost definitely increase sustain. I've heard good things about khaler and hipshot so I wouldn't know what to recommend between the two.
dean edge one 5 string
Schecter studio-4
Samick fairlane-6
Ibanez sb900
Ibanez btb775
Fender p bass special deluxe

Dean Del Sol
Ibanez prestige rg2610

kahler all the way because you dont have to route as much into the bass as a hipshot also they look way cooler and cost much less. also if your gonna put a tremelo on a bass, make sure your gonna play that bass throughout all of your bass playing carrer so i wouldnt reccomend putting it on a Squier. but yea go with kahler

I like the idea of a trem, but putting one on a budget bass doesn't make a lot of sense to me...
Nope, no sig here.

From what I've heard, the Hipshot has more range, but the Kahler is better built, and only requires top routing, and will probably improve your tone and sustain.

In other words, Kahler, hands down.

Edit: I guess I was wrong about the Kahler. It actually has MORE range than the hipshot. EVen more reason to get the Kahler

Kahler all the way baby....

actually, I find the idea of adding one to a cheap bass better...why?

Because on a expensive bass, once it is there a couple things happen...

you CANT sell it for what it "WAS" worth, and you cant just take it off once the routing has been done.

throw one on a cheap bass, and it makes it worth more instantly, and if you don't really like it...not too much harm done.

KAHLER ALL THE WAY!!!!

Dude, get it on Ebay, theres a shop situated in Navada and they are very reasonably priced.
The price of it, and the price of P&P still doesn't come close to how expensive it would be to get it shipped from Germany from the warwick shop.

All in all I think it cost me just over 180 pounds in total.
