im interested in buying a mesa boogie solo 50 head from the usa, problem is i live in uk and they are cheaper and there are alot more on ebay in the US compared to UK.

what sort of problems am i gonna run into when i get it over here?
power etc?

First off, the shipping alone will probably kill you, then the import taxes, then possibly having the power transformer replaced... You'd probably be better off just getting one there.

You'll need to change the transformer and the fuse from the amp, because of the diferent voltage

The 220/230v vs 110v electric is the only real issue. There are step down transformers that can be used so the internal transformer doesnt need replaced, not one of those cheap travel set ups. But a good step down transformer might cost as much as the internal amp transformer. After taxes, shipping, power supply might end up being roughly the same cost as buying in england.
