Well, I went with a few of my friends to play a little music and lead worship at the local church tonight. It went ok. Kinda boring, as the songs were slow and we didn't really practice nearly enough.

After we were finished, my friend was packing up his pedals and I asked him if I could plug into his tube screamer, just to see what it would sound like.

To my surprise, it sounded freaking awesome...

It didn't completely distort the notes, just added a higher, distorted hiss to them. There was some low-end loss, but I'm not sure if that was from the pedal or the ancient peavey guitar amp the pedal was plugged into. I was so excited, I tried his delay too!... but it sounded like crap...

So, my questions:

What do you think caused the low-end loss, pedal or amp?

Will running a bass through the pedal damage it in any way?

Will it sound the same through a solid-state bass amp?
Art is Vice. You don't marry it legitimately, you rape it...
