Okay i have a Squier strat. its made of alder.

i want to install a
-new neck (mighty mite)
-new bridge
-new tuners
-new pickups (looking at texas specials on guitarfetish)
-new pickguard

and possibly a new paintjob.

Yeah, thats right, im gonna replace everything except for the body...lol
So is this possible for under 250 dollars?

Can anyone steer me toward what parts i should be looking at? thanks.

why not leave the neck and the bridge as i don tthink they make a difference, and then yeah you can prob do it for less than that....i took my squier bullet strat and put a new pickguard a single seymour duncan invader, and single dimarzio volume pot...and it all cost me like 150

I agree with the neck part, unless the one that is on there is absolute crap. The bridge, however, should be replaced for sustain reasons. It should be possible under $250, depending on how much the pup's, and if truely necessary, neck cost.

If anything keep the neck and get a new body.

Unless you hate the neck/love the body. (still talking guitars here)

Ugh, I hate those stock Affinity bridges, they sound so muddy.

Looks like a good plan to me.

Hunt down and buy a used MIM Fender Standard bridge for $30 shipped on evilBay ... make sure it's a 2007 or later model so it'll have the heftier trem block. If you can't find one, you can try the GF models with the smaller string spacing *and* heftier trem block.

You could check out allparts.com. If you buy through LPAddict, he'll give you a discount for being a UGer

You really don't need to replace the whole bridge. Just get new saddles. Search guitar fetish and you can get some good cheap pups. maybe check out the lil killers they just RUL and you can get the super strat wiring kit they have in there which would make you crazy (17 different sounds with 3 single coils? Must have for a strat user lol).

Don't replace the neck if you like it. Get new tuners and a new nut. That with the saddle and pups should do it and have enough money left to get some juice :P A man needa hydrate themself's :3

I bought one of the guitarfetish.com import bridges, and it was well made. Good, hefty block and good enough construction of the bridge itself, though I ended up replacing the crappy saddles with GraphTec ones. If you don't mind replacing the saddles, that's a good way to go.

I have a Squier Affinity as well, and I measured my bridge, but the only bridge that could be a drop in replacement is the Wilkinson Licensed VSV-G off all-parts.com or stewmac.com.
Try that.

I know. :|
I wanted that bridge too. I guess just try to email guitarfetish maybe to see if they have a bridge with the same dimensions. Good luck though. I'll keep looking too.

EDIT: I just read that the GF MIM Strat Tremolo Upgrade (http://store.guitarfetish.com/minmeimstupt.html) is not a direct drop-in for Affinity's and require a bit of routing, but its not much. If you can just route a bit, then that would be great for you. Also, the trem block might be too big for the body as the Affinity series has thinner bodies.
