hi there, I have a 1975 yamaha redlabel that sounds great for the most part. However the two highest pitch strings sound very tinny and makes some chords sound bad (ie d, em7) and when I use a capo it is very noticeable. The strings are fairly new. Anyone know why this is or how I can fix it.

I know your problem, the strings you bought are electric, not acoustic. You can go buy acoustic strings and replace your other strings.
