as stated in the title... im looking for a free software that will allow me to change the pitch of a song. any suggestions?

Or this, I use that program. It works really well for recording and editing tracks aswell. Audacity kind of loses out on the recording and editing front.

Well, you can change the pitch, which would inherently change the key, so Audacity.
I'm that dude with the fro.

Oh by the way, you can't really change the key, you can change the pitch...but to really change the pitch you'd need something like DNA, which isn't free.

Celemony haven't even integrated DNA into melodyne yet, so it's impossible to get hold of.

Try some of the free DAWs, I'm sure one of them has a pitch alteration tool.
