This is a bias opinion because i own it and love it. 72 telecaster thinline. If semi hollow's notn ur thing, then go wit the not thinline version, the deluxe version

I would go with an Epiphone Les Paul, not as a permanent choice, of course, but it's an unbelivable guitar for around $550. Take your remaining money and get a good distortion pedal.
