I bought it because of its flexibility. I broke my Martin and needed a new Acoustic/Electric, but i was gas-ing for a hollow-body. And this enables me to have both. Along with an electric with passive pickups. It sounds amazing.

Very nice color.
The Mark IV is also sexy. Congrats.

Well, it's the DCX1E, so it has what is essentially plastic back and sides, and i was playing a little rhythm on the backside, and the back and sides separated for about 6 inches. weirdest thing ever. doesn't really affect tone or playability, but I never cared much for the plugged in tone of the guitar. So it was a perfect excuse.

I'm basing it on the fact that (IMO) Soldano>Mesa and the fact that the DeArmond is black and has a Bigsby. Which, by default, makes a guitar win, automatically.

Haha. I tried to love an Emperor II with a Bigsby for a couple weeks, but i just couldn't do it.

And yeah, I'd rather have a Soldano, too, I think. But if this thread included the Bandmaster or Bassman in my previous thread, would I win?

Dude, Emperors are great guitars, but a bit bulky. I played the Joe Pass Emperor, and while it was great for chords and jazzy type arpeggios/single lines, it didn't feel right for blues riffing.

I'd rather have a Rivera

Or a Wildkat

And yes, if you add a BF Fender, you win, unless he adds something else insane.
