The ML series seems to be a better value than the Dime models. The ML models I've played have also had better feel and quality control to them than any of the Dime sigs I've tried, which felt shoddy and odd.I've seen Dime models with horrible QC like messed up finishes, sharp frets, and poor wiring, but every ML I've tried had none of those issues. If I had the choice I wouldn't get either one,but between the two, I think the ML would be the better bet.

If you feel like you want a Floyd and like the black finish, look at one of the limited run Midnight ML's. They're right at a grand and have Abalone inlay on the neck and headstock, multi ply binding, and an OFR. http://cgi.ebay.com/DEAN-Limited-Midnight-ML-Guitar-Dimetime-Pickups-Floyd_W0QQitemZ290296922704QQcmdZViewItemQQptZGuitar?hash=item290296922704&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

However if cash is the issue, I would recommend the '79 over the Dime model

hi,

I know this is a fairly old thread thought i would chuck a question at it. I am contemplating buying a Midnight ML like the one stated above, I have searched the net to find there is not a lot of info on it. Does anyone know anything about this guitar such as year it was made, features, value, etc. A link would be nice and would show how useless my internet searching skills are.

Thanks

These were made in mid-to-late 2009 and are a limited run. These aren't listed in the Dean catalog I've got since they came out after mine was printed and I do not know a lot about them. They do have an OFR and everything else listed in my last post in this thread. Good luck finding one though, they sold pretty quick from what I hear
