Hey. Can someone tell me how I would go about playing this?

E]-----------------------------------------------------------5/17/19/17/5-----|
B]--17-----------------------------------------------------5--------------5---|
G]-----14------------------------------------------------5------------------5-|
D]--------14/10-10-7----7------------------------------7----------------------|
A]-------------------10-------------------------------------------------------|
E]----------------------------------------------------------------------------|

I can play the first part of this fine. What I'm having trouble with is the second part that starts with the 7th fret D string. How do I play this riff? Do I play the 7 5 5 then quickly slide my fretting hand over to the 17th fret? Or should I play the 7 5 5 with my fretting hand and play the part that starts on the 17th fret with my index finger on my strumming hand? It's a sweep by the way.
Veteran UGer. Suck it.

Regarding the part I boldfaced, yes.
Only play what you hear. If you don’t hear anything, don’t play anything.

id presume you tap the 17th fret and slide to the 19th with your tapping finger....

Just slide up. You could tap it with your strumming hand, but that's up to you. You can probably hear on the recording how he does it.

since it's a sweep you can do it either way. coming off the sweep sounds nice with a slide but personally I'd just tap it with my strumming hand
