After waiting a month for my Orange cab to come, i phoned up the music shop today to discover it has arrived!

My lovely new live rig

Engl Powerball Head
Orange PCC412AD in Black
Boss Tu-2 Tuner
ISP decimeter noisegate
Boss Cs-3 compressor
Boss Digital delay DD-6

Jackson RR24 in white for live use

Still to arrive is the matching Z5 Engl footswitch, and i'l be looking to get a reverb pedal (maybe the hardwire series reverb), oh and insurance for the beast.

It's sounding nice, a bit too much on the presence side, but since it's new it needs the speakers to be broken in still.
Can't wait to crank it sunday at band practice.

It cost in total around £1900 for the head and cab, but including all the other stuff and insurance it's going to total around £2300-2400

I'l post some sound clips tomorrow when i can turn her up a bit during the day.

I'm uber estatic, i've been waiting for 2 years to get this (had it all planned in my head about getting the money)

Hot damn.

Don't fall asleep tonight.
I'm putting my GAS on hold
for a couple months in order to pimp my ride.

Don't judge me.

I really have to say I like the black much better than the "visible from space" ones. This cab has classic appeal that won't go out of style. Just my personal preference.

Plus, it screams, "I'm rich, bitch", in a very classy manner.

Funnily enough i'm currently a uni student which are poor. Godbless scholarships!

To everyone else, i agree with the black Orange cab. It's something you don't see everyday. Which is why i opted to wait and get it in black

You have my dream rig

I have the orange 2x12 but am considering selling my Laney's to get a Powerball.

How does it sound through the orange cab?

Any chance of some clips?

Congratulations and happy new amp day

It's sounding rather nice at bedroom volume, i've gigged with the powerball and a borrowed standard orange 4x12 twice and it was rather nice. Although at the time i needed more time E.Q'in it, since i only had sound check.

It can get a really nice metal tone without the need for a OD. Something i wasn't happy about when i tried out a Mesa dual rec. The orange cabs are tight sounding on the bass, handles detuned tunings really well. They're a tad heavy though weighing in at 50KG.... 8stone.

I'l be posting some sound clips tomorrow.

Black orange cabs are infinitely win.

I want an OR50H in black on a Black PPC412. That would be win.

Cheers to you sir!
