Okay guys, I need a song that'll crush my soul and make me want to cry until my eyes bleed. Preferably acoustic.

Any ideas?

Hurt - Johnny Cash
Whiskey Lullaby - Brad Paisley
Picture - Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock

I'll think of more...

This may be exactly what you're looking for, TS.

It's "The Biggest Lie" by Elliott Smith.

Here's a link to it;

Go see U2, then you can say you contributed money to Bono's giant Irish tower built out of the blood, tears, and the hopes of African children.

Fire and Rain by James Taylor
In My Life by The Beatles (sad when put into context, like I nearly cried during Ozzy's performance and they had Rhandy Rhoad's pics on the screen thing behind them).

Last Kiss - Pearl Jam version

Something about Vedder's voice makes it soooo much better than the original and prior covers.

Adam's Song-Blink 182

It's so damn depressing.

there's a CCR song..."Someday Never Comes" i think, thats pretty damn sad. "In the warmth Of the Sun" by the beach boys...but if crushingly depressing acoustic tunes are what you're looking for than try "Ballad of Hollis Brown" by Dylan or Phil Och's "Changes".

HECK YEAH!!!!

Also Stay Together for the Kids - Blink 182

Billy Talent has some sad stuff too although their agressive style kinda takes away the sad feeling.

Try some songs by The Spill Canvas. I haven't listened to them much so unfortunately I don't have any song names but I can say almost everything they sing is sad sounding.
Also try Mayday Parade "Miserable at Best"

I'm missing your bed
I never sleep
Avoiding the spots where we'd have to speak,
And this bottle of beast
Is taking me home

[1.]
I'm cuddling close
To blankets and sheets
But you're not alone, and you're not discreet
Make sure I know who's taking you home.

I'm reading your note over again
There's not a word that I comprehend,
Except when you signed it
"I will love you always and forever."

[2.]
Well As for now I'm gonna hear the saddest songs
And sit alone and wonder
How you're making out
But as for me, I wish that I was anywhere with anyone
Making out.

I'm missing your laugh
How did it break?
And when did your eyes begin to look fake?
I hope you're as happy as you 're pretending.

[1.]
I am alone
In my defeat I wish I knew you were safely at home

I'm missing your bed
I never sleep
Avoiding the spots where we'd have speak, and
This bottle of beast is taking me home.

[2.]

Your hair, it's everywhere.
Screaming infidelities
And taking its wear.
[Repeat Four times]
No muerde, no calla
Sin sangre no hay arte
Nada ni nadie
De nada más

+1 to Tears in Heaven- Eric Clapton, especially if you know the reason for it, which, if you don't, it's about his two year old son that fell off of a something-story balcony.

Edit: Acoustic version is my favorite, seems to be the saddest

When you know about Syd Barrett, it's a very sad song, as is Shine On You Crazy Diamond.
