if you must have a Marshall, the old MOSFET ones form the late 80s/early 90s are pretty good and usually go for dirt cheap, they are SS but actually sound good.

ceriatone make great clones for good prices. If you really want the marshall name ( I know I did:P) look for a jcm800 combo used. Imo the jcm900 is a bit sterile sounding, whereas the 800s were so damn dynamic and full sounding

The MG4s aren't actually THAT bad, but they still don't compare to the JCM800.

MG50DFX sounds far better than the MG15 IMO.

The point I was making was that if someone is spending money on an MG50DFX, they could probably get a better amp for the same price (or a little bit more money). The mG15, on the other hand, is cheap and small, and you probably couldn't do a whole lot better for the money that you would be spending on it.

I don't HAVE to get a Marshall. I was just wondering because I know everyone here hates MGs and I was browsing through the GC website and didn't see too many amps that were $300 or less that weren't MGs
