Yeah, but you're better off getting the head an cab, the amp sounds bad enough without it being run through a crap eight inch speaker.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

can i run the combo amp version to a cabinet

You sure can because the speaker unplugs from the chassis.

Be sure to match the ohm of the cab. The amp is set for 4 ohms but there an 8 ohm wire inside the chassis you can switch with the 4 ohm wire, soldering required.

Change that 1 to 4 and you're ok.

The VJ, IMO, sounds like crap, don't see what's confusing about that.

Why not just get a head? I heard the speaker in the combo is no good.

I can only comment on the version 3's. I have both the head/cab and combo. i think they sound great especially with an eq and yes they both have 4, 8, and 16 ohm speaker capability. The 8" lady luck that's in it is not real good for lower frequencies, but there aren't that many that are unless you wanna spend some bucks. For what you pay for the combo it isn't that bad.

Yes. That's a workable idea. That way you can have a head and a combo.
