So If i got a mic, like an SM57 or something, and then got a recording interface like a Line 6 Pod, will I be able to use my amp's direct sound, or just the presets in the Pod?

as far as i know the pod is meant to go between your guitar and your amp

and then you can mic the amp

and im sure there is a bypass option on the pod

You don't want a POD for a recording interface. Search around here for other options, people make a ton of threads asking what to get.
Telecaster - SG - Jaguar
Princeton Reverb, Extra Reverb
P-Bass - Mustang Bass
Apogee Duet 2 - Ableton Suite

Alright so I was looking at the M-Audio Fast Track interface, and it looks like what I need. But just a question... If I get that and a mic, will I be able to record amp into mic into computer without any stupid amp models added? Or can I just like bypass any extra effects and have my amp's pure sound being recorded?
