I'm contemplating buying a line 6 spider III HD75 (amp head) and i was wondering if i could hook it up to my Crate 120w combo amp.
also if i can, would i have to do i have to make any adjustments to anything?
thanks for any help.

If your head has a speaker out and your combo amp has an amp in/power amp in port, then yes.

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

Damn. I couldn't find the concession stand. Where did you get the popcorn?

Well. My B-52 At212 has it set up in the back where I can unplug the speakers, and hook a different head up to it. So I imagine it can happen. But I think you have to be careful with the ohms and all that. I know very little about that. Someone else can explain when they see this.

well its pretty simple, just avoid mismatching ohms between the amp and cabinet (the cabinet can be more ohms than the head) and never turn on the head w/o it having a speaker load on it

it's got an insert thing which i thing is what i'd connect the amp head to.
i was just gonna use my combo amp until my broke ass could afford a cabinet

Depends. What kind of music are you playing? Do you mind buying used? Are you looking to gig?

Used:
Peavey Classic 30
Traynor YCV40 (maaayyybbbeee)
Fender Blues Junior (Fender cleans, no overdrive though.)
Peavey Valveking 112

New:
B52 AT-112
Peavey Windsor halfstack
Peavey Vypyr
Vox Valvetronix

I mean, there are more things I could offer, but a genre would narrow it down.
Gear:
Fender USA Standard Strat
1972 Aria "Lawsuit" Les Paul

Marshall JCM 900 Dual Reverb w/Randall cab
Traynor YCV40

Effects: (working on it..)
EHX Holy Grail Reverb
BOSS DD-6
Dunlop Crybaby Wah
1978 MXR Dist.+

i play mainly metal, death, thrash, grind. (marshall would be good, but they seem pricey)
i am fine with used.
i'll gig when my project gets a drummer, but i was just gonna run the amp head through a combo until i got a cabinet
