Hi, I've got quite a small budget atm cus of the dickhead bankers out there!

Anywayz £300 is my budget and i want a really good guitar that i could perform and play speed and heavy metal on. It'd need a gr8 tremolo on it tbh

Anyone got any suggestions or links?

I've got a low end Ibanez RG that I got for $300, but if you're looking for a FR tremolo I doubt you're going to find one for less than 300 pounds. Then again I'm sort of a guitar noob so you might want to take what I say with a grain of salt.

It's gonna have to be an Ibanez if you want something that price with a good trem.
#5
has anyone else got any suggestions for other guitars under £300 with a gd tremolo on it for metal?
I've always wanted an Ibanez though haha

look at Saber Series ibanez, might be abit above your budget, but the tremolos on low end S series are better than low end RG series.

My advice would be to look for an older used MIJ Ibanez model. They can be found for that price, just avoid anything with the Lo-Trs or Lo-Trs II trem on it.That trem is like the "back in the day" version of the edge III,except slightly worse in some respects.

No. Schecter has some really nice models. However, they're probably out of Hopwood's budget.

I'd recommend a less-costly Ibanez (just like about half of the other people in this thread have said), although I don't know if there's one that has a tremelo on it that you can buy new.

Uhhhhh those stargazers look nice, I've had hundreds of chances to play schecters but never have because they don't appeal to me.

how much is 350 Euros in US dollars? I know its more

I dunno, like I said, I've never played a schecter, although theres about ten in every music store I go to. They seem to get an equal amount of hate and love on UG. I'm gonna have to try one out of curiousity, even though I don't play that much metal anymore

You want a very good guitar, with a good trem, for less than £300.

And you going to play it through a spider...

Biggest fail so far this week.
Look, there are no good guitars with good trems under 300 quid. You can get something pretty decent with a decent trem for 100 more though:
http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/dk-2m/69487

Or you could look out for that guitar second hand for 300, that could be possible.

Stay away from tremolo equipped ibanez guitars in this pricerange. They all suck big balls. The best bet is to go Jackson if you want a decent floating tremolo and a metal guitar.
