My knowledge of acoustic guitars is really lacking. I just recieved a hohner hag-22 electric acoustic from my mom as a gift. It looks and feels like it is pretty good quality. However when I tried to put strings on it I noticed the action was way too low. I'm not sure how to raise the action on this guitar without damaging it. The strings are touching towards the first three frets so it buzzes when you play an open string. The buzzing ends at the fifth fret.

Here is a picture of the guitar.

I tried putting 10's on it and the strings were almost touching the fretboard. Any help would be great. Any feedback on the guitar as far as playabilty and sound is welcome also. Thanks.

Edit: the link isnt working for me at least, copy and paste it into your browser and it works.
