I'm not a guitar expert, so I need some help. There are a lot of types of strings and I don't know which kind to pick. I need acoustic strings for a Epiphone DR. Any help would be awesome.

Elixir are amazing IMO. Martin SP's are pretty nice too. The coating on the Elixirs doens't do anything though unless you're only playing your guitar every few days. Otherwise the strings wear down just as fast.

Oh, I use gauge 13 polyweb strings. But depending on how long you've played you might want light. The polyweb are solid. I don't think there's really that much of a difference between Elixir string types. They sell different metal alloys but that's about it.

The extra light sound way too thin on an acoustic guitar. Strengthen your fingers and AT LEAST use light. It'll sound better and strengthen your fingers.
