Ya, some of their lower models aren't the greatest, but you can find some gems in there. I'm a huge fan of their midrange+, they are deffinetly worth the look at getting.

Trabens sound good but honestly i hate the bodies. They are incredibly small and it just feels awkward

Check out Ibanez SR-305. I used to have one, they're good for the money, and almost every music store I've been to has at least one, so they're not hard to come by.
