recommend me a good peavey 212 combo
must have a good clean and overdrive channel
tube
i play a hss strat and les paul studio
audioslave, white stripes, cream, kiss,

i have a valveking 112 and really like it
amp im looking for can have a tad bit more drive, but the valveking is near perfect for me

and no, don't suggest the valveking 212(haha)

i'm looking for something else

im pondering getting a marshall jcm 900 combo, or peavey 5150 combo
(yes i know they're completely different amps)

please suggest, thanks

My personal favorite Peavey combo is the XXX, or JSX if you have the money. I had a 5150, and I liked the XXX a ton better. The JSX is pretty much a better version of the XXX though.

I love my 5150 but much more so since I got it revoiced to sound like the head. The combo is set up stock to sound thinner, without as much low end. I don't think I'd buy it again unless I could get the same stuff done to it.

I suggest not screwing with the UGer with the best name on the site.

I don't see how prostitution is going to help out your string buzz...

You could go XXX, but for the bands you listed, a Classic 30 or 50 could easily do, with a good OD
Peavey XXX combo *upgraded screen resistors, Tung-Sol's, and 6L6's*
Schecter Syn Std. * modded, scalloped, and worn*
Schecter C-1 Elite *still sexy*
Ibanez AEL 12-string

Definitely not the XXX, JSX, or 5150/6505. They're not right for the genres the TS listed.

The Classic 50 would be perfect, and it's loads better than the Valveking, which is really just an entry level tube amp.

i agree with you for the 6505's, but the JSX is an insanely versatile amp and would work exceptionally well for TS

True, it just seems like overkill.

Instead of an XXX, check out the new 3120 and a 2x12 cab. They're basically XXXes with EL34 tubes, and sound a squillion times better.

Why do you want a 2x12 anyway? It'll be a back killer, whereas a head + cab would give you better tone and easier transport.
