I'm sort of ignorant when it comes to strings. years ago i replaced what came on my guitars with rotosound yellow 10's and loved the improvement but since then i've always used the same due to not knowing enough about all the other types out there.
Can anyone advise me on the differences/advantages with other strings (steels, nickels, slinky, non slinky ect...)

I have a few different tele's and play mainly indie, post rock, shoegaze and stuff like that.

Cheers

A'addario or Ernie Ball? Those are good but I'm not sure it they go on a tele.
playing expert on guitar hero perfectly DOES NOT mean you can play guitar.

Yes, they do.

I prefer Ernie Ball Slinky's. Rotosounds are good, I've heard. I'm going to put some on my bass. Just try out different strings or get sound clips of them off the websites.
