Are there different levels? I'm a language major in university but I'd like to use the program in the summer when I'm away from everything.

I think it would only go to first year uni style stuff, and its all vocab. They never speak english or explain any grammer or anything its just like baby learning but it is effective.

Hit up Tokyo.

EDIT: ^Damn, that would be a little too easy for me. I'm sure there's something similiar to it out there.

I started using it for German but I only went through the first couple of lessons. I just haven't really found the time to sit back down and start it up again. It's a pretty cool program, though.

Just think about all the different things you can call people without them knowing

Rosetta Stone is too expensive

ill learn spanish the old fashioned way, by working in the back of a resturant and figuring out assorted curse words and foods from the cooks

You know that's essentially a dead language, right?
As for your actual question, I have no idea.

I'd prefer it with the pun being intended.
I want to work in revelations, not just spin silly tales for money.I want to fish as deep down as possible into my own subconscious in the belief that once that far down, everyone will understand because they are the same that far down.

I hate this program.

I was learning Thai, but I learned more from an actual tutor in one lesson than I did through several weeks of study on RS. The rest of the family was the same way.

But I guess whatever works for you guys.

Finnish is easy though. Just say any word and add the suffix "-ainen" and you have a word or a name.

I don't use Rosetta Stone, but I am learning Italian. I can learn Gaeilge just listening to my parents.

I wish i had that for Gàidhlig (more accenht copypaste), i think that'lll be my biggest stumbling block. I can learn lots of vocab (and I have been) but there won't be many folk to speak it with.

Yeah, I wish I could find more people that spoke Gaeilge. I guess it's pretty cool that you'll know a language that only a few people speak.

Where I live I think it's about 35% of the population that speaks Gaeilge.

I tried it but didn't like it. It only taught me vocabulary. No conjugation or speaking way at all. I think that it was German.
