oK sO I decided to stop putting it off and went and got a new pack of strings so I could replace my broken A string. I go in mind of getting something bigger gauged than the regular super slinkys I get since I plan to stop to C. So I get home and put on my new strings and tune to Drop C and messing around, I noticed my sustain has gotten a little worse. Wtf?

you've lost a lot of tension in your strings, therefore your string rattles on the fret more killing the sustain.

unfortunately I only vaguely know how to fix this, other than just tune back to standard haha

But that's why I have a thicker gauge, so the tension is kinda balanced out with the thicker string. And I done wanna tune back to standard. Do I have to live with it?

What gauge did you get? It's probably not heavy enough if its standard.
