I believe this is an Ibanez V??? series Electro Acoustic, which from the photos, looks in fair condition.

It has two small scratches on the back of the guitar, and its about 18 months old, and supposedly sounds great.

Built in pre amp and tuner on the side.

It's alleged to have a spruce top with mahogany back and sides and cost around £200 ($375 18 months ago).

It's on Craigslist and being sold by a student who 'needs the cash'

It's a few hundred miles away, so difficult to "look, see and try"

I can probably get it for £80 / $120, so it won't be a heartache if it's not that good.

The thing is, I am not familar with the instrument, and can't find anything by way of reviews on the web.

I am just looking for something to compliment and make a 'change' from my Takamine 'Mini', and, to 'while' away the odd half hour now and then, (bit of finger picking, bit of strumming, with occasional connection to my Roland cube, and let a bit of 'Chuck Berry' rip)

Does anyone recognise which model it is from the photos?

Any actual knowledge, or experiences with the instrument, or constructive comment would be welcome.

Thanks

OK - I know a bit more. Here is the actual guitar;

It is, I believe one of these;

They are the V205SECE and V72ECE

It looks like it could be either, problem is £50-70 ($75-100) difference in retail.

The spec difference appears to be that the more expensive one has a 'solid spruce' top, as opposed to 'spruce', better tuners and a 'rosette Abalone '?

Anybody actually recognise the top picture, or know any more?

Seller eventually contacted me and gave me model number "off the very label".

So no need to keep scratching heads (or balls) any longer.

A lot of people believe that Ibanez acoustics are poorly made.
I've personally never owned/played one, but the general consensus is to stay away from them.

However, at £80, it might be worth buying it, if it does have the solid spruce top.
