My Marshall 100DFX broke and I'm saving for a Peavey 6505.

Since I'm in a band I NEED an amp desperately so I'm think since I can't get the Peavey 6505 now should I just get a valve king and a good cab?

Will the valve king be able to just sound good with a GT-10?
Guitars:
Schecter Hellraiser C-1 Fr
Gibson Les Paul Studio with Seymour Duncans
Avalon Gold series acoustic
ESP LTD 7-string

Amp:
Marshall 100DFX

No. It won't. You can find a used 5150 or 6505 for the price of a new VK. And the 6505 will eat the pants off of the VK. If you must go new, then a B-52 AT-100 will be better than the VK.
I'm putting my GAS on hold
for a couple months in order to pimp my ride.

Don't judge me.

I've ran my MFX pedal thru my Valveking with OK results. As mentioned the 6505 will eat the pants off a VK so as theoreticmusic suggested, look for a used 5150 or 6505 or XXX.

Give us a city and we'll run a craigslist check for ya.

God broke your MG for a reason. Looooord, praise yea, hallelujah!

But for real, check CL (oh look these fine people are offering to do it for you!).

I dunno about the VK... it's alright, but you can definitely do better. When I played one in store, it was eh, so-so, but you'd be much happier with something a little bit higher end, I think.

Can I get an AMEN!!!!

Lol seriously dude don't buy a VK, it's just not worth it. Look a better amp used. The B-52 as mentioned above is you best option if you need something cheaper.

He's in Ireland. Get drunk and throw a chair through a shop window and steal one.

Seriously, budget?

Edit: As said, for the price of a new VK you should be able to score a 5150, 6505 or XXX used.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.
