Hey guys, do you think a Randall Rg50tc is a good amp choice? I play mainly metal and i've been looking to upgrade to louder and better sound.

i love randall. they sound great with a distortion pedal IMO. The overdrive can be slightly lackluster, but not too shabby if you set it up right.

Yes, the RG50TC is a great metal amp. Although some people prefer Bugeras.
But, I don't trust the first generation Bugeras reliability.

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

yeah, the reason I'm getting this amp is because there is a lower price deal on it. I dont know if I should get it though. Either they say it sucks get a marshall, or they say this is the best amp ever. It's really hard to know who to listen to.

It's good for metal and a decent OD crunch, but the B-52 AT-112/212 has better cleans. Much better cleans.
I'm putting my GAS on hold
for a couple months in order to pimp my ride.

Don't judge me.

It certainly does. That is where it excels.

I was trying to make the decision between the RG50TC and the B52 At-112. Ended up with the Randall and it is awesome, great distortion!!
