So today's the day all my stuff finally came. When I got home, a mysterious box was awaiting me...

Curious, I opened it up:

*Gasp!* Could it be a... Peavey Classic 30?!

Oh god, it is! But wait, another box?!?!

What could be in this one?

New pedals and gear, oh my!

Here's the amp and my guitar:

And a shot of my new "pedalboard" haha:

Overall, a very amazing day. Been having a blast messing around with everything. In total, I got a Peavey Classic 30, an EHX Big Muff Pi w/ Tone Wicker, an EHX Stereo Electric Mistress, and a Line 6 DL-4. The bad news is that it seems the Line 6 is a little glitchy. I've heard of reliability problems with them, and I think I might've gotten a bad one, it's acting very weird even though it was fine before.

right Metallica is a given. Personally I like to pretend the bus exploded and killed them all in '86.

I freaking love it, it has a nice compact design, and the switches REALLY do change the sound a lot. There's a ton of different sounds you can get out of it, and you can really unleash the sonic fury with the right settings. I highly recommend.

Hmm, I got it at one of those furniture chains, maybe like a sofa mart or something. Just shop around for like bar stools or something.

And yeah, tweed is pretty badass.

That Electric Mistress may misteriously go missing tonight.

Just kidding. Happy new gear day!

I'll be sleeping with one eye open tonight ;] But it really is an amazing sounding pedal. Really adds to my sound.

Thanks

Yeah they aren't huge, maybe a inch or so more than a blues jr if that? Great amp TS, I so want a tweed amp.

Well, the HRD always feels big to me for a 1x12 amp

I like the new cosmetics though, it's all nice and smooth

Edit: It's an inch taller and deeper and three inches wider, so not really that much

Congrats, now mod that DS-1

Btw, don't you find the C30 quite harsh when its up on something like that? I found the treble to be very icepicky spikey even with the treble rolled off and found that the only thing that cured it was having the amp in contact with the floor.

Didn't keep the amp for too long to be fair so it could of been just me, what do you think?

Have fun with all that.

That's a beautiful guitar by the way - very classy.

Thanks everyone for kind replies!

You know, you're kind of right. I haven't had it cranked too much, but the few times I got it up a little higher in volume it DOES sound a bit trebley-harsh. And I have a pretty bottom heavey EQ right now. I'm going to try and move it back down to the floor and see how that works.

I'm so pissed the DL-4 broke within 2 hours of buying...

Have fun with all that.

Thanks. I got an amazing deal on it too, I was very surprised because it was the only one they had in stock of that color, and I immediately fell in love. It's one of the lesser-chosen strat colors imo, so I kind of being "slightly unique" haha.

That's a good point. It would suck to have that happen. I just wish they were more reliable...
