I have a 7 string guitar (tuned to standard BEADGBE) which i run through a Digitech RP-2000 for effects. The pedal runs to the front of a Line 6 Spidervalve 212 which i use for distortion. Does anyone know of a detuning effect that I could use on the Digitech to simulate the 8 sound that Meshuggah uses on my 7 string? If this could be done without tuning my guitar down that would be awesome. thanks!

i dunno about the RP but on the digitech whammy it has an octave detune effect, it might be on the RP?

I used a feature when I owned an RP that could put the entire sound down a 4th, or a 5th. I don't remember how to do it. But you can!

there must be some sort of whammy or detune on the RP-2000, set that to go down 6 semitones and voila, youve got meshuggahs tuning

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.
